Proud Sponsor of Gideon Connelly in the 2020 Paralympics

Maryland National Guard Member Gideon Connelly From Baltimore Is chasing his dreams to make the Paralympic team in 2020. Gideon was only 21 when a motorcycle accident took his left leg and damaged his right knee and arm. “When you’re injured to that degree at a young age,” Gideon says, “you have many choices: you can give up on life and have no purpose, try to get your old life back, or find a meaning for the reason you’re still alive and show others the greater meaning of life. I chose to show others what life is about. My Goal is to show others passion, drive and persistence will make your dreams come true, then happiness will come along. “After losing my leg, I realized how lucky I was to still have the gift of life and still serve my country, for which I found a greater appreciation’” Gideon says. His goal is to show others that life is all of what you make of it, no matter what the action is you can always control the outcome. “After my injury, I chose to be happy. And I want to help others make that choice so I started peer counseling and showing others the power of recovery thru sports.”
